Senior management apppointments at Tikit

Tikit has made two new senior management appointments. Former Thomson Elite international vice president, Kaye Sycamore, has been appointed Tikit director of sales & marketing. Former TFB managing director Simon Hill has been appointed Tikit director of professional services.

Tikit’s chief executive David Lumsden said both appointments were highly strategic to Tikit’s growth plans. “Looking beyond the current recession, we see very strong potential for Tikit to expand its operations – particularly throughout the EU and in North America,” Lumsden said. “These two senior appointments are fundamental to building the calibre of senior management required to achieve our growth potential.”

Kaye Sycamore was one of the founders of Keystone Solutions and as director of software development as well as sales and marketing director of that company played a key role Keystone’s growth from its inception in New Zealand, through its listing on the London Alternative Investment Market and its subsequent sale to Solution 6. Keystone’s highly innovative practice management software is now part of the Aderant product set. Following the sale of Keystone Solutions, Sycamore had senior sales and marketing roles at Solution 6 and more recently at Thomson Elite where she was director of sales for Thomson Elite’s international division based in London.

“Kaye Sycamore has been a pioneer in the evolution of modern legal practice management software and has led some of the most successful PMS implementations for top tier law firms around the world. She has a unique blend of understanding of both technology and the business issues and requirements of large professional services firms. We are delighted to have her on board,” Lumsden said.

Simon Hill is the former chief executive of TFB, the practice management software company acquired by Tikit in 2008. He joined TFB in 1989 after a career in the army. He rose quickly to the position of sales director and, in 1999 led the management buy out of TFB. As managing director of TFB he led a period of strong growth which culminated in the acquisition of TFB by Tikit. In his new role as Tikit director of professional services Hill is responsible for major Tikit lines of business including Content Management, CRM, Finance & BPM, and the Project Office. He also continues to have direct responsibility for Tikit TFB, driving Practice Management sales to firms outside the Top 100.

“Simon Hill has a major contribution to make as Tikit looks to expand its services and solutions for mid-sized legal and other professional services firms,” David Lumsden said. “Smaller firms have the same technology requirements as top 100 firms. We see a major opportunity in providing sophisticated solutions to smaller firms in ways which are appropriate and affordable. Simon Hill has highly relevant and valuable experience in helping us achieve this.”
