Back from holiday and wondering what to do next? Well here are a couple more events for your diary…
• 23 May, London – Workshare’s next EMEA User Group meeting will be held at the Courthouse Hotel, aka the old Great Marlborough Street Magistrates Court (scene of some of Insider editor Charles Christian finest forensic triumphs). Workshare will be presenting their latest roadmap and vision to enable lawyers to securely collaborate on legal documents anytime, anywhere. They will also be offering attendees exclusive access to the beta programme for the new cloud platform Workshare.com. The event is from 2:00pm – 5:30pm followed by drinks and a BBQ, courtesy of Workshare on the rooftop terrace. • 14-to-16 June, Belfast – The British & Irish Association of Law Librarians (BIALL) is holding its 43rd Annual Study Conference & Exhibition at The Europa Hotel, Belfast. The theme for this year’s conference is No Frontiers: Crossing the Borders of Legal Information and the programme will comprise presentations by invited speakers and BIALL’s members.  Niamh Burns, Programme Coordinator says “The Conference Committee is confident that all delegates, whatever their sector, whatever their seniority level will be tempted by the many instructive and engaging sessions on offer throughout the busy three days of Conference.”
The Attorney General of Northern Ireland, Mr John Larkin, QC, will start proceedings with his keynote address Lines on Maps and Frontiers of Legal Research. He will be followed by Professor John Morrison of Queen’s University, Belfast, who will speak on What Makes and Important Case? Law librarians from the US and Australia will also give presentations on legal resources in their respective jurisdictions. A Pre-Conference seminar on Finance for Non-Finance Personnel, led by Stuart Warner of Financial Fluency, is scheduled for the afternoon of Wednesday 13 June.
