NetDocuments, the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) content management service provider, announced today that leading Scottish law firm Tods Murray LLP (www.todsmurray.com) has selected NetDocuments as its document management system (DMS) for its nearly 200 users in Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Tods Murray had been planning to go down the traditional path of expensive and hardware-intensive DMS until they saw NetDocuments. “Initially we were sceptical about a cloud-based DMS, but we quickly saw that NetDocuments satisfies all our key requirements, including email management, and would allow an accelerated deployment strategy.” said James Walker, IT Manager, Tods Murray. “NetDocuments actually gives us more than just a DMS. It also provides a built-in business continuity solution, as well as an integrated external document sharing solution that will enable us to improve our service to clients.”
“Law firms can save significant money and operate more efficiently by taking advantage of proven cloud-based solutions like NetDocuments,” said Lindsay Birch, Chief Operating Officer, Tods Murray. “NetDocuments is highly-rated by its many customers in the US, and we’re delighted to be among the first customers in the UK now that NetDocuments is available in UK-based data centres.”
Tods Murray performed extensive due diligence on NetDocuments and determined that the level of security and confidentiality offered by this solution was higher than that which could be achieved by most firms on their own. The NetDocuments service is hosted in two ISO 27001 certified UK-based data centres (InTechnology), and Tods Murray will have an onsite backup of all their data. The NetDocuments security standards and procedures are aligned with the highest industry standards, including the recent advice on Cloud Computing published by the Law Society of Scotland.
