Quill Pinpoint’s IT Director Richard Salt and his 13-year-old son Isaac have undertaken a sponsored 120ft abseil down Peacehaven’s landmark chalk cliffs in East Sussex.
Team Salt’s abseiling challenge was originally scheduled for autumn 2012 but heavy rain and high winds on the south coast resulted in the event being postponed for obvious safety reasons. Later, yet another postponement occurred due to bird nesting restrictions by Lewes Council. Finally, a year down the line, with no weather or nesting-related issues, the rescheduled abseil was successfully completed.
Richard jumped off the cliff to support Adventure Unlimited, a children’s charity whose aim is to enrich the lives of children and young people, many from disadvantaged backgrounds, through outdoor education and adventure.
