Looks like the UK legal IT market is waking up after the Christmas/New Year slowdown, with not one but three new deals coming in over the weekend, featuring Intapp, Enable PLC and Eclipse…
• Intapp Inc announced that international law firm Osborne Clarke has selected Intapp as its strategic partner to provide desktop and mobile time entry to its lawyers.
“We chose Intapp because we felt the software and support they offer will deliver considerable benefit to our lawyers,” said Nathan Hayes, IT Director, Osborne Clarke. “We evaluated a number of offerings, but quickly determined that Intapp provides the most modern and intuitive user experience, along with unique features that will significantly simplify and streamline lawyer time recording. We’re particularly excited about Intapp’s integration of sophisticated, automated time capture capabilities into the product. And we appreciate that Intapp has cultivated productive partnerships and product integrations with other industry vendors, including Thomson Elite, provider of our practice management software.”
• Next up we have Liam Flanagan‘s Enable plc, which has just sold its PitchPerfect application into UK national law firm TLT. PitchPerfect allows marketing and business development teams to quickly, easily, accurately and consistently produce high quality pitch documents from within Microsoft Word. The final output documents can then be published in PDF format.
Caroline Watts, Head of Marketing and Business Development at TLT said “Adding PitchPerfect to a predominantly new BD team will help us deliver a more structured pitching process to the business. Enable demonstrated a very clear cost benefit for PitchPerfect. We will benefit from reduced document production time allowing us to focus on pitch strategy and personalisation. This supports the increasing demand from clients for the quick delivery of high quality and evidenced-based pitch and credential-based documents.” TLT joins Speechly Bircham amongst Enable clients who are running the PitchPerfect application.
• Finally, AMV Law, a prize winner at the Law Society Excellence Awards 2013, has implemented the Proclaim Practice Management Software solution from Eclipse Legal Systems.
Established in 2006, AMV Law is a niche London-based practice specialising solely in Personal Injury cases. The firm caters for the full range of injury and claimant types, ranging from straightforward RTA cases through to catastrophic injury cases. AMV Law is taking the full Proclaim Practice Management solution, integrating firm-wide accounting toolsets with the Personal Injury Case Management desktop. In addition, AMV Law is taking advantage of Proclaim’s A2A (Application-to-Application) functionality to process low-value RTA (Road Traffic Accident) claims through the Government’s Portal system. Prior to implementation, Eclipse carried out a migration of data from AMV Law’s existing case management solution.
Anna Theordorides, Principal of AMV Law (and winner of the Highly Commended prize in the Legal Business Woman of the Year category at the Law Society Awards 2013 – pictured above), comments: “In an ever changing landscape it was essential that we found a way to ensure we were able to compete and survive the new costs regime. It was imperative that the system we invested in would allow us to carry out work as efficiently and cost effectively as possible within the Portal and outside, whilst maintaining excellent client care.”
