BigHand announced today that it has appointed Tony Bleasdale as Regional Director for the Asia-Pacific division.
Over the last year, the BigHand Asia-Pacific team, under the leadership of Ben Mills, have achieved significant growth and decided to invest further in the region by appointing Tony. Tony, throughout the last two decades, has worked in both the financial and legal sectors providing guidance to firms, across government, corporate and legal sectors. In addition, until recently and as a result of being nominated, Tony was both a Director & President on the national and state boards of Australasian Legal Practice Management Association. The association provides a network to over 675 members giving them access to the best learning and development and the opportunity to attend an annual conference as a Not-for-Profit organisation.
Tony Bleasdale expressed thoughts on his appointment saying “The opportunity to join BigHand is a rare one in the APAC region at my level. BigHand has a great reputation, and offers a mature solution. I’ve observed BigHand evolve as an organisation and align itself with changes in technology and development methods. The clear focus on client service is second to none. Having met with the teams globally, it was evident to me that BigHand people have a passion for their product. They use innovative technology, have a focus on development and the drive to deliver workflow improvements for their clients. I’m looking forward to growing the established BigHand business in APAC across law firms of all sizes and working with the rest of the BigHand team to achieve this globally.”
Jon Ardron, CEO of BigHand, commented “At BigHand we see the Asia-Pacific legal market, particularly Australia, as being innovative and willing to invest in new technologies. With this in mind we intend to increase our investment in the region, the first step of which is appointing a locally-based Regional Director to lead our existing Australian team. I am looking forward to working with Tony as he builds our business further, and in particular helps bring ideas and solutions from the Asia-Pacific market to the wider global legal community.”
