• Bellefield Systems, the company behind the iTimeKeep time capture system, has recruited new hires including Research & Development: Kim Mann and Ed Connor plus Marketing & Sales: Sharon Stewart and Mike Stafiej.
• Smart WebParts just announced that it has changed its company name to Smart Time Apps. Company CEO Todd Gerstein said “The goal of the name change is to align the company and Smart Time product brand identities.” For the time being the website URL remains www.smartwebparts.com
• Traveling Coaches also the addition of Mike Sweeney as Sr. Learning Consultant for the Imagine program. In his prior position at WilmerHale, Sweeney launched numerous initiatives focused on increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of learning programs for lawyers and staff. Sweeney’s success in his previous position will be celebrated this week at the ILTA’s annual Peer Awards dinner, where Mike is one of three finalists for the Technology Advocacy Professional of the Year award. com
• NetDocuments has recruited John Martucci to lead regional sales efforts. John will leverage his consulting experience and deep knowledge of law firm technology to help NetDocuments capture market share in cloud-based document management. Prior to joining NetDocuments, John was regional manager for Recommind, consulting with Am Law 200 firms on knowledge management strategies and providing enterprise search and email management solutions.
• Finally, long-time ILTA supporters PayneGroup announced today that Tara Byers (pictured) has been appointed President of Development. In this new capacity, she will oversee new product and existing product development for both the Collaboration and Workflow groups, as well Security Product Division. Byers joined PayneGroup more than 17 years ago. She started as a trainer, then rose through the ranks as Training Manager, Vice President of Development for Collaboration and Workflow, and now as President of Development. Says Donna Payne, CEO of PayneGroup, “Through hard work and perseverance, Tara has earned her seat at the table. She has been actively involved in shaping every product that we’ve produced, and she will continue to do this to an even greater extend in this new role.
