Welcome to our 43rd submission to the Legal Industry Video Awards. This entry comes from the Scottish law firm Inksters and is a great example of CSR (corporate social responsibility) within the legal sector. It’s also a good “TV news report” style video.
In the Summer of 2013 Inksters Solicitors sponsored the Scottish Ensemble to take Seavaigers to Shetland. This was a composition by Sally Beamish especially for Chris Stout (fiddle), Catriona McKay (Scottish harp) and the Scottish Ensemble. It describes a sea journey from Dundee (where Catriona comes from) to Shetland (where Chris Comes from). Match funding from Arts & Business Scotland enabled Scottish Ensemble to undertake a mini-residency in Shetland over four days with workshops, performances out and about in the community, a silent film screening and performance, a tea dance and a flash mob performance in a supermarket. The residency culminated in a concert at the Mareel in Lerwick featuring a performance of Seavaigers.
This video has been entered in Category 5 : Legal or Vendor Informational Video of the Year Award – designed to educate & inform external audiences, such as clients, customers & prospects, on current trends, developments and issues.
