GLOBAL : Tikit, part of the BT Group, just announced a strategic partnership with Enable, the people behind PitchPerfect. The partnership sees Tikit and Enable collaborating to help legal and professional services firms transform the way they create, manage and present pitch documents and ultimately win more business. PitchPerfect delivers high quality first-draft pitch documents quickly and easily. The solution provides a single UI to manage the branding, creative design layout and formatting of a firm’s templates so that their business development teams can focus on more valuable tasks, such as identifying and creating valuable client specific content and formulating winning pitch strategies.

PitchPerfect was launched in September 2013 and is already in use at three UK top 100 law firms (Speechly Bircham, Olswang and TLT Solicitors) plus a couple of US firms are reported to be close to signing. Gareth Thomas told the Insider that the initial market would be top 150 firms, as PitchPerfect is a natural fit with LexisNexis InterAction and the Tikit eMarketing and TMS products, but would subsequently be offered to P4W firms.
 
GLOBAL : Intapp and Business Integrity entered into a partnership agreement which will enable Intapp to embed ContractExpress in its client intake product, Intapp Open. The partnership will enable law firms to acquire the power of the ContractExpress solution for the generation of engagement letters. Richard Newton of Business Integrity added “Many law firms already use one or both of our solutions. This partnership will enable those that don’t yet use document automation to experience the efficiency that can be gained through the automated digital drafting of documents.”
 
GAllenGLOBAL : The Winscribe board of directors just announced the promotion of Greg Allen (pictured) to Chief Executive Officer. UK : Egress Software Technologies has been formally named as one of the first suppliers under the UK Cyber Security Supplier to Government Scheme. 

The scheme is administered by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) and is designed to clearly identify and recognise key suppliers to UK Government.
 
US : Traveling Coaches, just announced that Char LeMaire, a co-founder of the company, will be retiring this month. “Char has contributed vision, character and passion to Traveling Coaches for twenty years, and I’m proud to have been her business partner and shared this journey with her,” said Gina Buser, chief executive officer of Traveling Coaches. “Char is a true Trainer’s Trainer, and has championed and mentored law firm trainers throughout her 35-year career, pushing those within and without the organization to innovate and try new things. Her legacy will live on in Traveling Coaches through new programs such as the Imagine Learning Partner Program, which offers law firm trainers a fresh approach to reimagining their learning programs.” Gina Buser and Char LeMaire have been steering the firm together for close to twenty years, growing it from a small startup company in the mid-nineties to the global market leader in training and user adoption that it has become today.

UK : South Wales based Perfect Software Ltd has won 2014 Software Users Award from the Institute of Legal Finance & Management (ILFM), the UK’s professional association for legal bookkeepers and practice managers. The win is an important milestone for Perfect Software, who have been supplying legal software to firms of solicitors and licensed conveyancers from their Bridgend headquarters since 1993. UK : Zylpha has formalised a partnership with Safedrop for its secure delivery software. The partnership follows the development of an integration that enables Zylpha’s users to email formatted legal document bundles securely via safe drop. To ensure compliance and audit best practice, digitally signed delivery and read receipts are then returned to the customer within seconds. Files are encrypted both at rest and en route and remain in Europe at all times to meet European data privacy regulations. In addition, to ensure optimal security, there is also a shredding function for deleting the files after they have been safely received and processed.
 
EDISCOVERY : John Martin, CEO & Founder of BeyondRecognition LLC, a Houston-based technology company providing visual document classification and attribute extraction capabilities to Fortune 500 companies, and Mark Willis, CEO & President of the Willis Group which owns DW Legal, a leading provider of managed review, litigation readiness and ediscovery consulting, have entered an agreement whereby BR acquires significant equity in and licenses its technology to DW Legal, and DW Legal pays an annual licensing fee and ongoing processing fees.
Martin said, “Our relationship with DW Legal is a key part of our growth strategy of establishing enduring relationships with partners who have special expertise in particular market segments. DW Legal has 30 years’ experience in managed review, litigation readiness, and, more recently, e-discovery, and is uniquely qualified to leverage our document classification and attribute extraction capabilities in those markets. We are pleased that this agreement further strengthens our relationship with them.”
