At the end of 2010 a small-town Swedish consulting firm P&K TimeApp in Katrineholm, an hour’s drive south of the capital Stockholm, launched a time tracking and project accounting system called TimeApp. This system was developed to make it easier for organisations to have full control over colleagues’ time, trips, costs and expenses.
What began as a simple and efficient system for time and cost accounting, over time developed into a system containing requested and smarter functions. Time management with time-keeping function was supplemented with the option to create a specific project budget with financial indicators. Here you can find a time clock and driver’s log, both containing GPS functions. It is possible to manage invoicing in the system, furthermore there is an internal social real-time forum that all users that have access in the company can access. In other words, TimeApp is a compact business management system and intranet.
Focus on business
TimeApp, which can be managed from both computer and smartphone, quickly took a share of the market in Sweden and at the beginning of this year an international version in English was launched: timeapp.biz.
“I was thrilled when we suddenly came across TimeApp,” says Ekrem Güngör, lawyer, Advokatfirman Devlet AB. “The system is easy to use and always available online. The smart app means we can show times and expenses regardless of our whereabouts. Thanks to TimeApp we can put our energy into the core business instead of wasting energy on complicated time-accountancy routines. This is something which I can highly recommend my colleagues.”
“TimeApp as a time managment system works well for us. The specified time lists work well for us as a basis for both court and client,” said Ann Andersson at Advokat Malin Wassén Kjellberg AB. “TimeApp’s app means the system is always accessible so we can always account for time.”
All Free – All Included
TimeApp is free of charge for the first user with no time restrictions. It is only from user number two that it begins to cost, currently $8 per user/month. In addition all functions are available from start with no extra cost. This offer is called All Free – All Included.
“It remains to be seen if the international version with all its functions will be as popular among solicitors and lawyers abroad as in Sweden,” says Martin Eriksson, vice Managing Director & Sales Manager for TimeApp, “for obviously there is something special with TimeApp which appeals to just that profession.”
