MMS selects HighQ and Tikit for extranent services

UK law firm Maclay Murray and Spens LLP (MMS) has selected HighQ Collaborate, through technology resellers Tikit, to provide its enhanced client extranet services. The firm sought an alternative client extranet platform that allows lawyers across the firm to easily publish content that clients can access readily.
Crawford Hawley-Groat, Director of IT at MMS, explains why the firm requires a new extranet platform: “We have been using extranets to share information with clients for many years now and we try to stay at the cutting edge in terms of the technological solutions we provide. On reviewing our current platform it became clear that there were opportunities to improve the quality and usability of the product we were offering. We needed a service that users could safely administer themselves to make information sharing easier across the firm,” Hawley-Groat explains. “Based on demand and expected increase of file sharing and collaboration across the firm, we knew we had to either evolve our own solution or involve an external vendor.”
Hawley-Groat began to research the options for extranet alternatives, as he explains: “I looked to other firms to see what platforms they used for their extranets and began to get a feel for what solutions were available in the market. I noticed that HighQ Collaborate is one of the most popular collaboration platforms for law firms, so I knew it was worth exploring.”
