BLP goes public on using Lexis Draft

LexisNexis UK today announced that Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP) is now using Lexis Draft as the firm’s solution of choice for legal drafting and proofreading. LexisDraft is currently being used by almost 1,000 fee earners and support staff across the firm to proofread documents.
BLP chose LexisDraft for its market leading suite of proofreading tools, ease of implementation and complementary fit with the firm’s existing processes. Based on the efficiency and productivity gains being derived in the London office, BLP has extended the product to international jurisdictions where there is a requirement for English law document creation.
“We, as a client-centric organisation, are always looking for innovative technology to enhance our processes and improve our ways of working,” explained David Wood, Head of Business Projects at BLP. “LexisDraft fits in perfectly with our working practices – we faced no resistance in the firm to use the tool as fee earners and secretaries alike instantly saw the business value of the solution.”
In the last year, over 50 law firms, including 13 of the UK’s Top 50 law firms (with firms ranging from the Magic Circle and right through the Silver Circle) have signed up for Lexis Draft although because of the “sensitivity” surrounding the technology, Lexis are unable to disclose all the names.
