• Wellspring and CPA Global partner to provide comprehensive IP management and technology transfer

Intellectual property (IP) software group Wellspring and CPA Global, provider of IP management software and services have announced a partnership that will deliver a unique ‘one-stop-shop’ software solution for robust IP management and technology transfer. The joint offering will provide organisations with a comprehensive and integrated management system for all their knowledge assets – from identification to exploitation – together with an IP renewals capability to ensure that valuable patents and trademarks are maintained and protected globally. CPA Global chief executive officer Tim Griffiths commented: “Wellspring provides the software infrastructure and collaborative network to identify, manage, and develop knowledge assets. • Ochresoft becomes associate member of Council of Mortgage Lenders

Legal workflow specialist Ochresoft has become an associate member of the Council of Mortgage Lenders (CML). Membership is seen as key to helping Ochresoft remain close to sector issues, aware of trends and thinking, and responsive to statistics and industry findings. Pauline Freegard, Ochresoft’s director of business development, comments: “Conveyancing doesn’t exist without lenders and their influence permeates every aspect of the market. It’s vital that we keep abreast of their ‘hot buttons’ so we continue to factor those into our products and keep conveyancing teams compliant, productive and quality-driven.”

Quill becomes Purple Legal Network recommended supplier

Outsourced legal cashiering provider Quill Pinpoint has announced its partnership with Purple Legal Network, a national support and referral group for law firms. Quill joins as a recommended supplier to provide legal accounts outsourcing and optional outsourced payroll services to member firms. Quill’s managing director, Julian Bryan, said: “Our union with Purple Legal Network is giving legal practices easy access to outsourced support to simultaneously improve efficiencies, ensure compliance and achieve financial savings. “We’re outsourced cashiering experts, having operated in the legal marketplace for almost 40 years. We know better than most how difficult it can be for practices to adhere to the labyrinthine requirements of the SRA Accounts Rules, especially relatively new businesses or those undergoing change.”

JMC IT Honoured for 11th Year in The Sunday Times Best Small Companies to Work For List

JMC IT has been recognised as an outstanding place to work in the prestigious Sunday Times 100 Best Small Companies to Work For List, achieving 34th place nationally to make the list for an 11th consecutive year. The Salford-based IT support provider was the highest-placed north-west employer and IT reseller among the top 100, based on anonymous feedback from employees, with JMC achieving a staff response rate of 86% compared to the 77% national average. Andrew Burgess, JMC’s managing director, said: “This fantastic news is a reflection of our continued investment and total dedication from everyone at JMC to create a great working environment. MatterMojo for Office 365 launches in the USA and the UK

 Ad Coelum Technology has announced the simultaneous launch in the USA and UK of MatterMojo for Office 365, a new client and matter management offering integrated with Microsoft Office 365. MatterMojo for Office 365 is an affordable cloud-based matter management system targeted at existing users of Microsoft Office 365, which will offer a seamless single sign-on experience and provide integrated access to all the productivity features available across both products. To support the introduction of its new products, the company has launched a new website to showcase capabilities and visitors to the site will be offered a free 30 day trial. Tim Cheadle, CEO, commented “Early demand for Office 365 integration has driven us to a parallel launch in both the United States and the United Kingdom. Innovative Computing Systems Announces the Launch of the Consulting Practice Group

Innovative Computing Systems, which provides information technology services to law firms, has announced the launch of a new Consulting Practice Group. The practice group provides law firms with outsourced virtual CIO services at a fraction of the cost of adding staff and overhead. The group, which will be led by Brian Ruthruff, a 13-year veteran of Innovative Computing Systems, will also provide auditing and needs analysis; policy advice; business continuity planning and technology advice. “We have provided these services to many clients over the years, so the team is well-versed in the IT wants and needs of law firms,” says Michael Kemps, chief executive officer of Innovative Computing Systems. “With law firms looking for ways to manage costs in the most practical way possible, it made sense for us to now form our Consulting Practice Group and market these services.” 

Hyperion Global Partners Announces Alliance with Legalmosaic to offer legal service delivery consulting

Legal technology consultancy Hyperion Global Partners has announced a strategic alliance with Legalmosaic and its founder, Mark Cohen, to form a practice focused on new and emerging legal services delivery models. The New Model Leadership Practice will develop and deliver services to legal practice managers, to help them navigate the complex operational processes of multi-faceted organisational structures.  “The global legal marketplace is on the cusp of disruption, and there are great challenges as well as opportunities for new and existing legal service providers and educators,” said Cohen. “This collaboration brings a powerhouse set of solutions and services that leverage fundamental lessons learned to the benefit and success of our clients.”

Hoowla Partners With Quantus Conveyancing Support Services

Conveyancing case management software provider Hoowla has partnered with Quantus, a major national supplier of support services to the legal profession. Clients can now place property search orders via Quantus directly through Hoowla’s conveyancing software. Fulfilled search orders are automatically returned by Quantus into the client’s case in Hoowla, ready to be downloaded and shared. Adam Curtis, CEO of Hoowla said: “By partnering and integrating with existing service providers in the conveyancing and property industry we bring the experience and credibility of established businesses like Quantus into our conveyancing software making them available for our clients.”

ETSOS and Select Legal Systems join forces to improve conveyancing efficiency and profitability

ETSOS and Select Legal Systems have joined forces to bring ETSOS’ conveyancing products ordering platform direct to users of Select Legal’s flagship accounts and case management system LAWFUSION. The combined solution gives residential and commercial conveyancers one-click access to a complete range of conveyancing products directly from the workflow, saving firms time and money on each transaction and improving profitability. ETSOS’ managing director Phil Natusch said: “We were delighted when we were contacted by Select Legal Systems to deliver an integrated search solution. NetDocuments Launches Apps Marketplace for Third-Party Integrations with NetDocuments Cloud-Based Document and Email Management Platform

 NetDocuments has released a marketplace for third-party software and plug-ins that integrate with NetDocuments’ cloud-based document and email management service. NetDocuments currently has over 30 technology partners who have integrated dozens of applications and add-ons to NetDocuments core document management service, mobile app, and email management components. “The technology ecosystem within a firm comprises many components and applications, and it just makes sense to have them all in one place, accessible to our partners, customers, and development community,” said Travis Reed, NetDocuments technology partnership manager.

Chrome River and Western Union Business Solutions Announce UK Alliance

Chrome River and Western Union Business Solutions (UK) have announced a new UK-based collaboration that will combine Chrome’s expense reporting and supplier invoice processing software with Western Union’s global foreign currency exchange. Chrome River customers will benefit by having a solution to send and receive international payments and manage foreign currency exchange for their overseas transactions.  Western Union Business Solutions customers will have access to an easy-to-use, SaaS-based expense reporting and invoice processing solution with the flexibility to accommodate complex business rules, policies, workflow routing, management reporting and integration with ERP and financial systems. Alan Rich, co-founder & CEO of Chrome River, said: “Our relationship with Western Union Business Solutions is part of our strategy to ensure that customers can solve their international payment requirements smoothly and efficiently.”

Intralinks Partners with Kira Diligence Engine

New York Stock Exchange-listed secure enterprise content collaboration group Intralinks Holdings has announced a partnership with Kira, supplier of contract review and analysis software. By leveraging the two platforms, the M&A due diligence process is said to be dramatically streamlined through the partial automation of document review and abstraction, making dealmaking easier and more productive. Matt Porzio, vice president of strategy and product marketing at Intralinks said: “Together, Intralinks Dealspace and Kira Diligence Engine help ensure high-stakes transactions are brought to a fast close. The partnership will save our customers time and expense and help prevent costly human error during due diligence.”

Huron Legal Expands Litigation Management Services through Alliance with Allegory Law

Huron Consulting Group has announced the expansion of Huron Legal’s litigation management services through a strategic alliance and exclusive software licensing agreement with Allegory Law, a pioneer in web-based litigation management software. The Huron Legal and Allegory Law alliance will provide law firms and corporate law departments with a process for organising, connecting, and retrieving all the key activities and evidence of a litigation matter. “As the size, complexity, and demands of litigation increase, both in-house and law firm litigation teams must effectively use evidence, case documents, and other key pieces of information to ultimately secure a successful outcome,” said Bob Rowe, executive vice president of Huron Legal.

BigHand Announces Integration With Good Technology to Help Clients Achieve Greater Control of Mobile Devices
