Midlands law firm Roythornes Solicitors has adopted SOS Connect from Solicitors Own Software (SOS) as part of the firm’s strategy for growth. Roythornes had already been using SOS’s finance software for several years when, following a review of IT systems, the firm recognised it needed a more fully integrated system in order to help the firm move forward.
Roythornes, which has around 160 staff at offices in Spalding, Peterborough, Nottingham and Newmarket, had been using a third party product for case and matter management integrated with SOS accounts. Now however the firm has rolled out SOS Connect throughout, following successful trials of the system.
“Roythornes had used a third party case management system for ten or more years and the system had served the firm well. However when looking to the future, the appeal of a single platform for practice management, case and matter management with fully integrated document/email management and CRM was compelling, not least because SOS Connect is based upon our existing practice management system. This fact significantly mitigated against risks and costs associated with wholesale platform change,” says Jonathan Swan, operations and IT director at Roythornes Solicitors.
“Roythornes has already saved significant amounts of fee earner and support staff time as a result of the change – and the system is helping enable the firm progress efficiency and productivity improvements by becoming a ‘less paper’ firm. SOS Connect is also really enabling our mobility and flexibility agenda.”
