Legal IT Throwback Thursday: 1985 and it’s BT Interruptus

It is 1985 and British Telecom (now BT) announces with a fanfare and trips to the top of the Post Office Tower that it is to enter the legal software market in conjunction with legal IT provider AIM. Except that when readers start replying to the advertising campaign in the Gazette, promoting the new system, they are told there’s been a “change of policy” and that BT has just withdrawn from the market.
