Brochet Paste launches in London – 26 November

Last month saw boutique Microsoft Office professional services firm Brochet, shoot into the UK Legal Insider Top 200 supplier listing – this month Brochet launch their new product ‘Brochet Paste’ into the market place.
It’s just over a year since Nikki Pike – Founder of Brochet came up with the idea of Brochet Paste. With an extensive history of working with law firms, Nikki became aware of a common problem when discussing Microsoft Word requirements with new and existing clients. The issue was the hours written off by fee earners when they struggle to format and manage legal numbered documents and update precedent documents into a law firm’s house style. There were also challenges with shared documents being corrupted and errors creeping into files due to time pressure or long working hours.
The team at Brochet has a unique ability to find solutions using their extensive knowledge and technical development capabilities within Microsoft. This led to a major investment to develop a product that would eliminate all of the above issues. The result is Brochet Paste. This clever ‘add-in’ has been enhanced over the development period to deliver the following capabilities:
* accurately converts any legal numbered document into the format of the user’s law firm
* converts manually numbered documents, where content can be copied directly from any source including web pages or plain text files
* applies the correct legal style to each paragraph without bringing in unwanted styles from the copied text
* analyses, identifies and corrects issues such as manually numbered paragraphs in auto-numbered files or identifies when the logic of paragraph numbering has been corrupted
* adds comments on relevant paragraphs of finished document to alert users to where numbering has been updated or repaired.
Through the whole process the team recognised that it was vital that Brochet Paste retained the integrity of the document and that no content could ever be lost. As a priority Brochet Paste has been developed to retain all local formatting such as bold, underline and italics; all cross references and footnotes; any Word objects such as tables, text boxes or image files and also track changes and comments.
Rigorous testing has ensured that Brochet Paste delivers in all areas. The product is now being used on a daily basis by two of the top 50 law firms in the country. David Lee of Bond Dickinson-“ I have no doubt that by using Brochet Paste we have improved our efficiency 100% ensuring all our documentation is consistently branded in our corporate style.”
Brochet Paste is being launched to the law firm market on Thursday 26th November in London. There will be a presentation by Nikki and David Pike and demo versions will be available so that users can try it for themselves. Representatives from Bond Dickinson will be there to talk to and discuss how the product is improving their efficiency. The technical team from Brochet will be on hand to answer questions about installation, delivery and training over drinks.  If you would like to attend the launch then please contact Brochet on 01264 730450 or email David at Brochet [email protected] to reserve your place. For more information see www.brochet.co.uk/law-firms/brochet-paste/
