Big Four accountants Deloitte just hired Norton Rose Fulbright’s global CIO Sheila Doyle as its new CIO for the UK & Switzerland. Doyle will replace Mark Westbrook, who has been acting CIO since Matt Peers left Deloitte to become CIO of Linklaters in May this year. Doyle previously held senior roles BP and the Royal Mail, and was a Gartner consultant before moving to Norton Rose in May 2011. She remained as global CIO after the firm’s merger with Fulbright & Jaworski in 2012. Doyle will begin her role as CIO of Deloitte in January.
COMMENT: Good move by Doyle particularly as NRF are reported to be in negotiations with Fulcrum and SAP with a view to swapping out Aderant in favour of implementing a full-blown ERP solution, that industry contacts suggest is expected to cost circa £50 million.
