DocsCorp has hit its 10th member of staff in Europe with the hire of former Microsystems EU client relations manager Sarah Smithies and is looking to hire a further four members of staff over the next 12 months, bringing the European office in line with the US.
The document review, comparison and metadata cleaning software provider has announced the growth of its EMEA sales team with the hire of Smithies as senior sales account manager.
Smithies brings more than 20 years of experience to DocsCorp, having worked with IT vendors to legal and professional services firms across Europe. Her previous roles include EU client relations manager at Microsystems, European business development manager for LexisNexis Interface Software, and lead business consultant at Tikit. Most recently, Smithies worked as a freelance consultant assisting small, startup companies with sales and marketing strategies as well as a business startup tutor at HM Prison Send.
Smithies said: “This role will enable DocsCorp to continue building and maintaining the relationships the company has worked so hard to establish over the last seven years, through its provision of integrated enterprise productivity software solutions. This is a busy and exciting time for DocsCorp and I look forward to playing a strategic role in its growth and success.”
DocsCorp, which was founded in Sydney, Australia, has entered its 13th year and if it achieves its aim of hiring four more staff this year, that will mean DocsCorp’s European office is the same size as its US office in Portland, Oregon, which it opened in 2005.
DocsCorp’s expansion into Europe began at a similar time and European operations are managed out of the London office by EMEA VP Sales Ben Mitchell, who was previously the Professional Services Sector Manager at OpenText.
DocsCorp serves half of the UK’s top 10 largest clients including Linklaters and Allen & Overy, which it announced as a client in August 2014.
