A North East law firm formed by merger has integrated its software system by signing up to Solicitors Own Software’s practice management and matter management solution SOS Connect.
Headquartered in Darlington, DMA Law is a full service firm with six offices across the North East that was created from the merger of McCardles and Donnelly Adamson.
After having different legal software systems running across its offices, DMA Law has now undergone a series of data conversions and upgraded to SOS Connect.
“This process meant spending a lot of time talking to people at all levels across the firm, so that we could phase in what was a substantial change,” says Lyn Rowe, practice manager at DMA Law.
“We chose SOS Connect because we were impressed by the level of support and value for money involved and in addition, our accounts team had previous knowledge of it. We now have a unified, streamlined, efficient system across the firm. Looking forward we would like to add more capabilities, for example the marketing module, but we need to do this in bite-size pieces.”
David McNamara, managing director of SOS (pictured on the home page), said: “As with many merged firms, DMA Law had a need to consolidate a set of disparate systems which it had inherited and to become more efficient. It recognises that SOS Connect retains the flexibility and agility to grow and adapt according to its evolving requirements.”
Last year SOS welcomed to SOS Connect firms including 160-staff Midlands law firm Roythornes, London-based commercial property firm Maples Teesdale, 175-staff Yorkshire firm Wrigleys and Devon law firm Tozers in a six-figure deal. Most recently, in October 2015, South Wales firm Quality Solicitors David Snape made the switch to SOS Connect.
