Leading European independent law firm Cuatrecasas, Goncalves Pereira and UK top 100 law firm Sackers have swapped their on premises document management solution for NetDocuments’ cloud-based solution.
Cuatrecasas (previously an Open Text eDocs site), which has 1600 staff across 24 offices in Europe, the U.S., Asia and Africa, required a solution that would complement and integrate with the firm’s existing technology, while providing extremely high standards for security and compliance across international offices and a diverse client base.
“The initiatives that Cuatrecasas maintains for our clients require us to be on the forefront of technology, selecting market-leading solutions that will increase productivity and mobility throughout the firm as well as simplifying the IT architecture,” Francesc Munoz Molina, CIO at Cuatrecasas, commented. “Through our evaluation, we found NetDocuments’ cloud-based service not only provides a modern DMS solution, but also includes the features, usability, and approach to software development that will enable the firm to improve information governance, usability, and collaboration while increasing the level of security and compliance we offer our clients.”
As the UK’s leading law firm for pension schemes, meanwhile, Sackers – formerly an iManage client but which swapped to NetDocuments in the first half of last year – works with a broad client base including trustee boards, sponsoring employers, providers and Government bodies. Danny O’Connor, Head of IT at Sackers, commented: “NetDocuments’ security and compliance infrastructure, combined with its user-friendly interface in a true cloud-based service is precisely the innovation model that aligns with Sackers’ goal of providing continued exceptional service to our clients. NetDocuments’ focus on delivering a DMS that is continuously updated and improved on a quarterly basis, based on customer feedback, is an approach to development and business we couldn’t achieve with an on-premises solution.”
Simon Allen, sales director at NetDocuments said: “International law firms like Cuatrecasas and Sackers are recognising the powerful benefits of native cloud-based technology and are increasing efficiency and mobility across the firm, while improving the level of service they can offer their clients.
“As a customer-driven Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) company, NetDocuments is truly leading the industry in providing firms with the innovation, continual enhancements, and progressive tools firms rely on to remain competitive and to continue to deliver exceptional service to their clients.”
iManage completed a management buyout in July last year and have subsequently been rebranding their flagship products, offering clients both an on premises and cloud-based solution.
iManage’s general manager Geoff Hornsby said: “The iManage management buy out and the launch of our UK cloud came too late for Sackers, who were on a very old version of iManage. With the success of both our EMEA cloud service and 9.3 the new iManage is very focused on ensuring our clients get the choices they need and it’s just a shame we didn’t have a hosted solution earlier.”
