eDiscovery at LTNY: New CEO for Cicayda as Zapproved breaks the terabyte-per-hour processing barrier

Cloud-based eDiscovery provider Cicayda has appointed industry veteran Billy Hyatt as its new chief executive officer, taking over from co-founder Roe Frazer, who will now head up business development and new eDiscovery consulting group Frazer Law.

Hyatt has been chief sales officer at Cicayda since 2014, when he joined from Standard CP, which he co-founded after leaving Thomson Reuters in 2013, where he held the role of manager for large law software solutions.

The appointment was unveiled at LTNY and Hyatt said: “I am very excited to take the helm of Cicayda and continue leading our charge as one of the cutting-edge cloud-based SaaS companies in eDiscovery. Our customers love our simplicity of use, the hyper speed of results, our natural language processing analytics, and our hands-on customer support.”

The announcement comes as Cicayda this week unveiled new features to its cloud-base software-as-a-service solution Reprise at LTNY. These include faster search results, more advance natural language text analytics and improved data entity analysis.

Zapproved also this week announced at LTNY that it has broken the one terabyte-per-hour processing barrier with Digital Discovery Pro.

Digital Discovery Pro is a software application that taps the power of Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud computing for corporate legal teams so they can process and review discovery data instantly for immediate insights to a case or internal investigation.

“Breaking the terabyte-per-hour processing barrier marks a new era for electronic discovery. Digital Discovery Pro was designed as modern software and with future customer needs in mind. We developed it to take full advantage of the AWS Cloud and have optimized it for scalability and affordability. Our software applies the amount of computing power required to accomplish any task quickly,” said Monica Enand, CEO and founder of Zapproved. “The technology we’re providing gives in-house legal teams unprecedented control, access, and affordability over discovery.”

Zapproved was recognized in the 2014 Inc. 500 as one of the fastest growing private companies in the U.S. and was named as a “vendor to watch” in the 2015 Gartner Magic Quadrant for E-Discovery.
