Prosperoware has appointed former Withers and Clifford Chance project manager John Jones as director of consulting for the EMEA region.
Jones will focus on leading implementations of Prosperoware’s legal process and project management software Umbria, as well as provide hands-on oversight throughout the Umbria implementation lifecycle.
Jones was most recently a project manager at Withers, where he worked until last summer within Withers’ finance department on a range of projects, including a review of the top 35 UK law firm’s time and billing procedures. Prior to that, at magic circle giant Clifford Chance, Jones was initially brought in to implement cloud-based electronic billing solution eBillingHub but, after successful completion, was transferred to the global project team rolling out Aderant Expert 8.0; one of the largest successful practice management system implementations to date at a magic circle firm.
Jones has more than 17 years’ experience in the sector and has previously held senior roles at firms including Herbert Smith Freehills and Aderant, where he was a technical and implementation consultant between 1998 and 2002.
Umbria functions as a core platform that connects law firm leadership and lawyers with their business development, pricing, finance, and human resources teams—allowing the firm to work in a more integrated manner. A statement today from Prosperoware said: “On the heels of impressive adoption in the US within the initial seven months of Umbria’s release, John’s appointment reflects this growing demand for Prosperoware’s Umbria platform in the EMEA region.”
Keith Lipman, president of Prosperoware, said: “We’re pleased to have someone of John’s caliber joining the Prosperoware team to help meet the demand and enhance the growth of Umbria in the EMEA region. John has exceptional experience in the legal technology industry and we are confident that his expertise complements Prosperoware’s mission in EMEA.”
Jones’ arrival follows last year’s hire by Prosperoware of Ben Weinberger, who joined as vice president of solutions. Weinberger, who was previously chief strategy officer at Phoenix Business Solutions, was brought in to help bring Umbria to market.
