NextLaw Labs advisory board: Keith Austin joins from DP DHL and Gastón Bilder from Total

Dentons’ innovation and technology investment arm NextLaw Labs has bolstered its advisory board with two in-house appointments: Keith Austin, senior vice president and UKIEMEA head of legal at Deutsche Post DHL; and Gastón Bilder, senior legal counsel at Total.
NextLaw Labs said that the appointments will help bring greater international perspective and a more comprehensive understanding of the legal landscape to NextLaw Labs.
Austin, who is based in the UK, heads DHL’s operations across the UK & Ireland, Russia and CIS, Middle East and Africa. A statement from NextLaw Labs said: “He is an innovator in the area of transforming legal operations.”
Gastón, who is based in Belgium, has a wealth of experience in M&A and in legal tech, both as an entrepreneur and an investor. On his profile on LinkedIn, he refers to himself as an attorney and angel investor, who has invested in “software startups, green technologies and social enterprises.”
The pair join Casey Flaherty, former in-house lawyer and founder of legal technology consultancy Procertas and creator of the Legal Technology Assessment, who joined NextLaw Labs advisory board in October 2015.
“Keith and Gastón joining our advisory board is a critical step in NextLaw Labs’ vision of being a diverse global platform. With their significant industry experience as well as their international background, we are excited to be building an advisory board which is more representative of the global legal industry and the growth of legal tech in Europe,” said Dan Jansen, CEO of NextLaw Labs (pictured on home page.)
