This week’s legal IT updates come from across the spectrum as Zylpha launches its new bundling technology, DocsCorp announces that compareDocs is available as a Windows 10 Universal application, and U.S. cloud-based practice management provider Clio releases four new integrations for its UK and European users. Product launches and upgrades
No doubt still basking in the Technology and Construction Court’s recent decision to penalise a party for not paginating their bundles properly, Zylpha has announced the latest version of its bundling technology, which reduces the time taken to create document bundles “from hours to minutes.” Pride of place among a host of new features is a new SharePoint integration, and the latest version also now includes extensive import and export functionality for Microsoft Excel.
Nigel Spicer, Zylpha’s head of development, said: “To a great degree our development is driven by our success across an ever broader range of bundling requirements. In this case, we have recognized and met the demand from SharePoint and E-Discovery users. DocsCorp has announced that its leading document comparison application, compareDocs, is now available as a Windows 10 Universal application. compareDocs cloud enables law firms and corporate legal departments to compare two versions of a document for changes to run a comparison on any Windows 10 compatible device: phone, laptop, desktop and Surface.
DocsCorp’s president and co-founder, Dean Sappey, said: “We are especially delighted to have worked closely with Microsoft to extend document comparison beyond the desktop as we continue to lead the industry in developing innovative products that allow people to work from anywhere on any device.”
Leading cloud-based legal practice management provider Clio has released four new integrations this year to assist its users in the UK and Europe to run their legal practices more efficiently.
The integrations, many of which have only been available to North American users, include Alt Legal, to prepare, file and manage intellectual property; Halo NBI, a client intake app; Chrometa, to capture time; and Clocktimizer, which creates powerful visual reports.

Wins and deals
Following a competitive pitch, managed IT services specialist Quiss Technology, has been appointed to provide a range of support services to Darlingtons Solicitors.
The growing North London based law firm is a full service practice, specialising in property and personal legal services, with 48 users across the firm’s offices in Edgware and central London.

Global technology company, Nuix, has partnered with leading voice analytics provider, Voci Technologies to integrate Voci’s voice analytics platform with the Nuix engine and Nuix’s products for eDiscovery, investigation, information governance, cybersecurity and intelligence.
The partnership will allow investigators to begin analysing human speech alongside communication patterns, emails, text messages, documents, chats and many other sources. The software provides accurate and fully-punctuated transcripts of recorded or live audio sources in English or Spanish, with many more languages to come in the future.
Nuix has grown from a garage start-up in 2006 to what is now a global leader in its field, with 1,500 customers in over 60 countries including Barclays, the UN, Interpol and the US Secret Service.
“Organizations and individuals are recording massive quantities of audio and video and it’s impossible for investigators to listen to even a fraction of it,” said Nuix chief technology officer, Stephen Stewart. “They’re accumulating audio for surveillance and compliance, voicemail, interviews, and on a huge range of devices including smartphones and police body cameras. Kent-based law firm, Mansfield and Chaston has rolled out Eclipse Legal Systems’ Proclaim Practice Management Software.
Eclipse has implemented its ready-to-go Personal Injury Proclaim software within Mansfield & Chaston’s core integrated PMS, to improve efficiency and transparency whilst providing staff with a range of tools to enhance the overall client journey.
In addition, Mansfield and Chaston will take advantage of Proclaim’s A2A (Application-to-Application) functionality to process RTA (Road Traffic Accident) and EL/PL (Employer Liability/Public Liability) claims seamlessly through the Government’s Portal system without having to leave Proclaim.

Legal process outsourcing provider QuisLex has appointed Josh Rosenfeld as vice president, legal services to lead QuisLex’s new San Francisco office.
Prior to joining QuisLex, Rosenfeld spent 15 years at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, most recently as the chief practice officer for the finance and energy & infrastructure business units, comprising more than 300 lawyers globally. Previously, he practiced law as a litigation associate with Davis Polk & Wardwell in New York and Washington, D.C., and later with Heller Ehrman White & McAuliffe in Palo Alto.
“Josh brings substantial experience advising senior leaders on a range of operational, financial, and strategic issues. His expertise and skills will contribute significantly to providing innovative solutions to our expanding client base”, said Ram Vasudevan, CEO.
TRU Staffing Partners, a search firm representing talent and opportunities in the e-discovery, litigation support and cybersecurity space, has hired Sherry Keene as assistant national operations manager. Keene will work closely with the TRU recruitment and business development teams to streamline daily internal operations, assist with CRM management, and administratively support the entire TRU staff across the country.
Prior to joining TRU, Keene worked as an executive administrative assistant to the VP of sales and VP of business development at TearLab.
