Wins and deals
Leading independent offshore trust Bedell Trust has selected the SeeUnity solution to help maintain common content across its document management systems with Phoenix Business Solutions as its implementation partner.
Bedell Trust uses Filesite from iManage to store and manage all client related documents but has recently begun using Microsoft SharePoint to establish client portals and share content, such as reports, directly with clients.
SeeUnity will help streamline Bedell Trust processes by using Echo Content Synchronization to replicate content between SharePoint and Worksite, providing full version control and maintaining a single version of the truth.
“We were pleased to find SeeUnity’s solution for content synchronization to help us address the challenges involved with using SharePoint and Filesite separately,” says Stephen Chiang, CIO of Bedell Trust
The official go-live implementation is expected within the next 2-3 months.
Following a competitive tender process, managed IT services specialist Quiss Technology has been appointed to deliver external support for 60-user Portsmouth-based solicitors Verisona Law.
Nick Hayne, professional services manager at Quiss Technology commented: “Verisona were clear from the outset that their growth plans required a service provider with experience in the legal sector, knowledge of the Peppermint Legal Service Platform and a record of proactive support, which happily played to our key strengths.
“With user numbers expected to increase significantly over the term of the contract, accurate budgeting was a necessity for the management team at Verisona. This requirement was easily met with our simple, comprehensive and inclusive pricing covering guaranteed service levels and unlimited support from our well-resourced UK-based helpdesk.”
British cloud and networking provider Exponential-e has partnered with legal IT specialist SproutIT to launch SproutVoice, a hosted private branch exchange (PBX) voice service platform.
Through the partnership, Exponential-e’s powerful 100 gig Ethernet network will ensure SproutIT customers have dedicated voice bandwidth. This means voice quality is not affected by data traffic, eliminating the effects of jitter, latency and packet loss, to provide high quality voice calls irrespective of location.
“With almost 60 per cent of law firms likely to further outsource IT services, including hosted telephony, the partnership between Exponential-e and SproutIT gives the sector the confidence needed to adhere to the sector’s rigorous security and compliance requirements,” said Alp Kostem, channel referral manager at Exponential-e. “The range of voice services now being offered, which includes the new SproutVoice, means geographical boundaries are no longer a barrier to communication for law firms.”
UK court technology innovator Digital Courtrooms is now available as a supplier on G-Cloud 8, the Crown Commercial Service’s (CCS) procurement framework for cloud-based computer services, hosted via the Digital Marketplace.
The CCS works with departments and organisations across the whole of the public sector to ensure maximum value is extracted from every commercial relationship and to improve the quality of service delivery.
The Digital Courtroom solution is a software and service package that provides all the necessary tools required to digitise the UK court system. It combines ProjectFusion’s secure data room system; Zylpha’s e-bundling technology; and technical support from South London Legal Partnership. Digital Courtrooms has already proved itself to be a success in a mainstream family court environment at both the West London and Central London Family Courts.
