LK Shields selects Elite 3E thanks to TRE express services package

Elisabet Hardy TREThomson Reuters Elite is expanding its Irish customer base as Dublin-based law firm LK Shields swaps out its long term legacy Axxia Arista practice management system (PMS) for TRE’s flagship PMS, 3E.
LK Shields is a leading Irish corporate and commercial law firm with over 80 lawyers in its Dublin office. The firm will be utilising TRE’s Express Services Package (ESP), which enables rapid deployment in nine to 12 months with a highly standardised 3E configuration. ESP proved a key factor in the firm’s selection of 3E.
The decision to partner with Elite was taken after a thorough market review to find the best replacement for Axxia, which it selected in around 1997, long before LexisNexis acquired Axxia in 2008.
“The decision by the partners of the firm to upgrade our existing practice management system presented LK Shields Solicitors with the opportunity to take a fresh look at the way in which we manage our practice and to re-engineer our business processes,” said managing partner Edmund Butler. “We have selected 3E because we believe that the ESP version of the product will enable us to successfully effect organisational change around a template provided by the market-leading legal software.”
The selection of 3E – an integral part of the Elite Enterprise Business Management Solution – by LK Shields continues the growth of Elite in Ireland, with a total of three Irish firms scheduled to go-live on 3E over the coming months.
Elisabet Hardy, vice president of product management for Elite (pictured) said: “An increasing number of firms in the Irish legal market are choosing 3E as their platform for future growth and scalability, a trend we anticipate will continue for the foreseeable future.”
