Peppermint rebrands cloud platform as part of major upgrade

Iarlene_profilen what it has described as a coming of age story, Peppermint Technology has rebranded its cloud platform as Peppermint CX (customer experience) as part of a major upgrade to its Microsoft Dynamics and SharePoint-based platform.
Aligned with Microsoft, Peppermint will now be making two, smaller releases each year, in the Spring and Autumn. It says these will be easier for customers to consume and mean a lower spend on upgrades in terms of both time and money.
Increased functionality in CX includes native applications for mobile devices; a more modern interface and navigation consistent with the latest Microsoft products; broader browser support; support for the latest version of Microsoft Office and Windows; and access to the likes of Social Engagement and Microsoft PowerBI.
“Re-naming to Peppermint CX signals our single-minded focus on giving legal service providers the technology they need to transform their relationships with their customers,” said Peppermint’s CEO Arlene Adams. “That relationship – the customer experience – is where our customers will see the greatest returns and which will give them the greatest potential to differentiate.
“Behind the new name is new functionality and a new strategy and process designed to keep customers bang up to date.”
Peppermint has introduced an Early Access Programme for customers looking to upgrade to CX 2017 immediately, including a private and highly secure upgrade website to enable high levels of self service and flexibility for customers’ in house IT teams.
Based in the UK, Peppermint is now supporting over 40 mid-sized & large legal service providers, with over two-thirds of these operating in the Peppermint Cloud, and has 80 members of staff.
In a blog post on Peppermint’s website, chief sales and marketing officer Kaye Sycamore, who joined from Intapp in May this year, says: “While our competitors are spending 90% of the R&D to get to cloud v1 – we have further increased an already significant market advantage.” The CX upgrade comes following the arrival of CTO Mike Walker, who joined from Thomson Reuters Elite earlier this year.
