Three years in, Brodies first UK client live on Elite Business Development Premier

Three years after launch, Thomson Reuters Elite’s first UK client has gone live on Business Development Premier (BDP), its integral CRM solution built on Microsoft Dynamics.
Brodies, Scotland’s largest independent law firm, signed up to BDP after a competitive pitch.
The UK top 60 firm is said to have wanted a solution that automates data input and management processes and that integrates with its Elite financial management system, with across-the-firm adoption and ease of use also key factors.
BDP was launched in 2013 to combine CRM and Enterprise Relationship Management capabilities with data from Thomson Reuters and competitive intelligence from Monitor Suite, in addition to Elite’s suite of products.
Intended as a challenger to CRM market leader LexisNexis InterAction, BDP has so far failed to gain any visible traction, although it is understood that there have been four other UK signings to date.
In May, Boston-headquartered law firm Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, an Elite Enterprise practice management system client that plans to transition to Elite 3E, went live on BDP.
In August, Elite announced the release of Business Development Premier 2016.2, which incorporates improved analytics capability.
