First practice and case management system deals of 2017: SOS Connect and Linetime

North West Lancashire and Cumbria law firm Wright & Lord Solicitors has gone live with integrated practice and case management system SOS Connect from Solicitors Own Software. The win comes as Longmores Solicitors, a leading Hertford firm of solicitors, selects Linetime’s Liberate suite, including practice, case and matter management along with an online client portal, CRM and business analysis tools.
In selecting Linetime, Longmores’ management team undertook an extensive review of available legal services software. Its aim was to identify a software provider able to assist in the goals of providing clients with the highest standards of services while doing so in a cost-effective manner.
Craig Harrison, head of the firm’s company commercial team, said: “We selected Linetime for a number of key reasons. Linetime’s Liberate suite contained all of the elements we were looking for in a single system. It uses the latest Microsoft technology whilst not losing sight of its primary function of supporting the business’ growth plans and continuing improvement in client service. The Linetime team’s ethos is similar to our own – they listened to our needs and delivered a proposal to meet them.”
Tony Klejnow, Linetime’s managing director said “Longmores has a clear idea of what it wants to achieve.  We have worked closely with Longmores to tailor the Liberate solution to support its plans. We are delighted to be working with Longmores and look forward to implementing Liberate throughout their business.”
Meanwhile Wright & Lord, a full service law firm with two offices in Morecambe and another in nearby Milnthorpe, is using SOS Connect’s conveyancing, wills, probate and lasting power of attorney applications as it looks towards a new phase of growth in 2017.
“We reached the point where we wanted to look at adopting new technology in the firm, giving us the ability to manage our data more effectively and efficiently, and improve our admin and recording,” says Martin Bilton, IT systems manager at Wright & Lord Solicitors.
“Our IT staff are working to develop SOS Connect to our own needs and this is very much part of the development and expansion of the firm, from the point of view not only of client service, but also of marketing.”
Graham Colbourne, managing director of SOS, said: “Some law firms want to utilise their legal software in a more collaborative, targeted and tailored way, and Wright & Lord Solicitors has found that SOS Connect is sufficiently flexible and adaptable for this purpose.”
