Aderant has won UK top 30 law firm Stephenson Harwood as a client from Thomson Reuters Elite after a year that saw the addition of 28 new firms to its flagship Expert practice management platform.
Little detail is yet known about the Stephenson Harwood win but the deal with the 519-lawyer firm is said to have happened before the end of 2016.
Aderant’s clients in the UK top 30 include Clifford Chance, Herbert Smith Freehills, Pinsent Masons, Bird & Bird, Taylor Wessing and Wragge Lawrence Graham, which at the start of 2016 became Gowling WLG.
Last year its US wins included Moore & Van Allen, Quarles & Brady, Sutherland Asbill & Brennan, Brown Rudnick and Davis Polk Wardell, alongside Bartier Perry in Australia and CMS von Erlach Poncet in Switzerland. Of the six, four are known to be former Elite clients.
“Several years ago we began focusing on bringing the front and back office together in professional firms,” said Chris Giglio, CEO of Aderant. “The growth over the past half-decade has been a validation of that strategy.”
