London law firm Quastel Midgen LLP has signed with Linetime’s Liberate practice and case management solution, Linetime will announce today (16 January) following a week that has seen wins in the UK for Eclipse Legal Systems and an extension of Microsoft Azure and Office 365 accreditation and services for Quiss Technology. In the US, there are new senior appointments for Nuix and Epiq, a major win for eDiscovery provider Logikcull, and new releases for IP analytics provider Relecura and OCR and text scanning supplier ABBYY.

Quastel Midgen is a commercial law practice specialising in commercial property, company commercial, real estate, employment, dispute resolution, immigration and advice on trusts and estate planning.
The firm is implementing practice, case and matter management throughout the business. In addition to implementing Linetime’s Liberate practice and case management solution, Liberate CRM will support Quastel Midgen’s event management and cross selling initiatives all within a central MS SQL database.

Having seen the Liberate software and met the Linetime team we feel that the product will achieve that aim.”
Elsewhere, Brown Turner Ross is implementing the Proclaim Practice Management Software solution from Eclipse Legal Systems.
The North West law firm has offices in Southport, Liverpool and Birkenhead, and Eclipse will implement Proclaim throughout the offices and across a number of departments – including conveyancing, probate, personal injury and family.
To further enhance client inception procedures, Brown Turner Ross will use Eclipse’s lead management system, and will benefit from comprehensive management of all incoming enquiries.

Meanwhile managed IT services provider Quiss Technology has announced its inclusion in the Microsoft 1-Tier Cloud Solution Provider programme, designed to help clients adopt its cloud-based technology solutions like Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Office 365.
Direct 1-Tier providers like Quiss buy from Microsoft, bill clients directly, and sell combined offers and services, together with providing, managing and supporting products and services. As well as the direct billing model, 1-Tier partners must have broad market reach and a robust 24/7 technical support relationship with customers.
Paul Tozer, head of cloud services at Quiss, commented: “This is not just good news for us, but for our clients and those organisations considering a move to the cloud.
“Clients can now take advantage of Quiss assuming responsibility for every aspect of the client lifecycle. Appointments
Dentons partner Jeffrey Bleich has joined the Nuix board as interim CEO, after Eddie Sheehy resigned. Bleich is a former US ambassador to Australia and served as special counsel to President Obame in the first year of his administration.
The Nuix board intends to engage an international search for a CEO with a global IPO skillset to lead Nuix through its next phase of growth and development.
Until the board appoints a CEO, Nuix co-founder and chairman Dr. Tony Castagna will assume many of the current CEO responsibilities with the able support of a highly experienced senior team from offices around the world.
