Legal Events News: BIALL Conference 2017: Registration now open

The 48th Annual British and Irish Association of Law Librarians (BIALL) Study Conference and Exhibition, to be held at The Principal Manchester from Thursday 8 to Saturday 10 June 2017, is the premier event for the legal information sector.
“Together or apart? Effective ways of working” is the theme for this year’s BIALL conference which will enable delegates to explore different working practices and working relationships, training techniques, tech solutions and the role of our professional networks, as well as the Brexit vote and its potential impact. The keynote address, “Informing the debate about Brexit” will be given by David Allen Green, Senior Consultant at Preiskel & Co., and law and policy commentator at the Financial Times.
The conference theme will be explored by a variety of presentations and workshops covering topics such as how legal information professions collaborate when working in virtual teams and different offices as well as a story of client and law firm enquiry service working together.
The Exhibition is an integral part of the Annual Conference and provides a forum for suppliers to exhibit and showcase their products as well as an opportunity to meet with conference delegates.
The BIALL Annual Dinner, sponsored by LexisNexis, will also be held at The Principal Manchester. Winners of the LexisLibrary Awards will be announced at this event.
