InfoTrack has facilitated the completion of what it says is the first-ever entirely electronic conveyancing contract pack (eCOS) in the UK for London based law firm, The Partnership.
eCOS, which enables clients to complete and sign all documents online via InfoTrack’s online portal, was soft launched last year but The Partnership is the first firm to officially use the product from start to finish since its formal launch.
eCOS enables conveyancers to compile and bundle the contract pack electronically, including the Property Information Form and the Fittings and Contents Form. The InfoTrack platform then allows the conveyancer and client to electronically send, receive and sign these documents, creating a smooth, paper free and secure process.
The Partnership was able to compile the contract pack online and send it via InfoTrack’s dedicated eCOS portal for its German-based client to complete all documents. The digitisation of this process and the use of electronic signatures saved the 15-lawyer firm several hours of time, as well as eliminating delays often incurred by postage.
Peter Ambrose, director of The Partnership said: “Our client received, completed and signed the forms quickly and we were able to access them directly through the matter within InfoTrack, rather than wading through emails and spending time collating into our CMS. eCOS is a tremendous time saver for both clients and ourselves as we no longer need to print, scan or post documentation. Having entirely electronic contract packs is a huge step forwards for the industry, evolving the conveyancing market for both us, and more importantly, our clients, who are constantly looking for firms that excel at providing efficiency through technology.”
The Infotrack platform also now provides the ability to view document progress in real time.
