Keystone Law has adopted NetDocuments new file synchronisation service ndSync, which became publicly available in March and enables users to map matter-content, folders, and documents within NetDocuments to a Windows PC, Mac or mobile device, enabling them to work on documents offline.
The UK’s largest dispersed law firm, Keystone selected NetDocuments at the start of 2015, integrating the cloud-based platform with KeyedIn, its intranet through which staff can access core systems including its time and billing and DMS system. Until now Keystone says its greatest challenge has been providing its lawyers with access to client and matter-related information while they are travelling or working in remote areas with poor internet signal.
ndSync facilitates bi-directional synchronization across any device. Collaboration is facilitated within practice teams who can synchronize matter workspaces or folders. Maurice Tunney (pictured), IT director at Keystone Law, said: “While Keystone Law has a very progressive approach to technology adoption, security and compliance remain critical aspects of our strategy. We needed a device synchronisation and collaboration solution that would allow for offline access across devices. Ensuring that content remains secure, compliant and in sync with the firm’s central repository.
“ndSync offered by NetDocuments delivered on all fronts and is included in the cloud-based DMS platform. Its Dropbox-like functionality, coupled with administrative features, Mobile Device Management (MDM) capabilities, remote device wiping, bi-directional synchronization across devices, and offline access means our personnel are always able to access their content and collaborate with clients in an efficient and timely manner. NetDocuments continues to deliver on innovation and usability for its global service above and beyond other vendors in the legal space – which is precisely why we partnered with them.”
