Cybersecurity: Phoenix enters strategic partnership with iboss

Having this month launched a new cybersecurity, compliance and information governance (CCIG) division, Phoenix Business Solutions has entered into a strategic partnership with iboss Cybersecurity whereby Phoenix has become the preferred supplier for iboss to the UK, and APAC legal sectors.
As part of the alliance, iboss Cybersecurity’s product suite will form an integral component of Phoenix’s CCIG offering to its professional services clients globally. The relationship has been formed in response to the growing need for legal and other professional services firms to address increasing concerns around data security and privacy, and incorporate best data governance practices within their operations.
iboss will provide an on premises, in-house team of cyber experts to work at Phoenix’s London headquarters during the early stages of the relationship, which will be further underwritten by its European Master distributor Emeiatec Limited’s cyber security ‘Incident Response Team’ based in London and nearby Chelmsford.
Jason Petrucci, CEO of Phoenix Business Solutions, said: “As a specialist provider of document and content management solutions to the global legal community with a very strong reputation in the sector, it is critically important to us to find the right technology partners to underpin our new data governance offering. The technologies we will be helping our clients deploy must not only address today’s cybersecurity and compliance needs, but must also enable them to better curate their data to unlock business value.”
“Over the last few years we have witnessed the devastating effects on law firms when their data assets have been compromised. With GDPR coming into effect in May 2018, all organisations will need to ensure they can show their assets are protected or face the possibility of crippling financial penalties. With the sophistication of ransomware and malicious malware increasing daily, law firms will need to ensure they adopt an effective security posture that can categorically protect their assets, and those of their clients, or run the risk of a financial penalty and the resultant loss to their reputations,” said Robin Mohan, CEO of Emeiatec.
