Fuse tech innovation space design revealed as applications continue before 12 June deadline

Legal IT Newswire: LONDON – Allen & Overy has revealed designs for its new tech innovation space, Fuse, where tech companies, Allen & Overy lawyers, technologists and their clients will collaborate to explore, develop and test legal, regulatory and deal-related solutions.

Early-stage and more mature tech companies can apply before the deadline of 12 June to work in a specially-created area, designed by Jump Studios, which will house up to 60 co-workers within Allen & Overy’s London offices on the boundary of Shoreditch and the City of London.

Jump Studios (a Populous company) is an award-winning architecture and interior design practice based in London, which has designed a range of innovative workspaces. Its concept for Fuse is centred around five ‘C’s: Collaboration, Community, Concentration, Contemplation and Confidentiality.

Its features include a combination of open office space, single workstation kiosks and a secure working space for confidential groups or meetings. The design also allows for flexible use, and can be converted into a demonstration and social area for lectures and social events. A coffee kiosk and lounge area will enhance the community-feel of the space.

Fuse will be offering a diverse program of seminars, networking events and lectures that will require flexibility. Flip up tables and a large curtain will help to accommodate the different settings for presentations, contributing to a more domestic look and feel. A large screen will be used for presentations and for displaying videos throughout the day.

Once in residence, companies will have access to the expertise of Allen & Overy lawyers, technologists and clients to co-create practical solutions to some of the challenges faced by companies, financial institutions and law firms today.

Simon Jordan, Co-Founder of Jump Studios, said: “Fuse is a dynamic, flexible and informal workspace that will have its own identity within Allen & Overy’s London office. The design focuses on opening up the existing, traditional layout to create a range of social, meeting, intimate and informal workspaces that will stimulate collaboration and tech business solutions.”

Fuse is being led by Jonathan Brayne, Fuse Chairman, and Shruti Ajitsaria, Head of Fuse.  To apply to work in Fuse, please visit: https://www.f6s.com/fuse2017byallenovery/apply
