RBRO wins Geldards as a client and begins rebuilding UK team

RBRO Solutions has won UK top 100 law firms Geldards as a client, we can reveal, working with them to achieve integration and automation across the business as the Toronto software and support company begins the process of rebuilding its team on the ground in the UK.
Geldards, which is an iManage and K2 client, is looking to RBRO to facilitate a ‘deep dive’ into short and long-term business strategy, working towards Geldards’ goal of developing streamlined and efficient processes and integrations, to enhance the effectiveness of the firm’s line of business systems including document management, finance, practice management and other related resources.
The aspiration is that by achieving better integration, the firm will reduce the steps to accomplish tasks and achieve greater insight to support decision-making.
“Through our proof-of-concept engagement, RBRO have demonstrated confidence and commitment to quickly understand our business,” said Ben Johnson, head of best practices & risk at Geldards. “They share our vision to translate our requirements into high-value deliverables and to build great relationships with our team, which made the selection of RBRO a straight-forward decision for us.”
“We’re honoured to be part of such an important initiative with Geldards,” said Howard Russell, RBRO’s president and CEO. “It underscores our focus on creating simplicity from complexity.”
The win is welcome good news for RBRO, which has this year been hit by a number of departures: in the UK senior technical consultant Lee Huggett joined iManage and account manager Adam Wiles has joined HighQ.
Globally it parted ways recently with COO Dennis Croft and APAC general manager Alan McCombe.
The UK departures sparked one client to question whether RBRO is dedicated to the market, where it has promised local support. However, Russell told Legal IT Insider that RBRO is in the process of interviewing for a UK-based consultant and is also beginning a search for a UK senior strategic business development and consulting role.
Despite the evident flux within the company RBRO says it has almost doubled last year’s sales figure and launched a number of new initiatives, including a new channel partner programme.
In the UK, it has invested more heavily in employees and marketing than ever before and in a statement announcing the Geldards win RBRO said: “The UK market is an essential focus for RBRO and they are committed to growing their market share.”
