Sherrards selects Phoenix to roll out iManage Cloud

News in from Phoenix Business Solutions that they’ve been selected by Sherrards Solicitors to roll out iManage Cloud as part of an efficiency drive to improve the St Albans and London-based firm’s document management process.
Sherrards, which offers a broad range of legal services to businesses and private individuals across the UK and internationally, previously used an internally developed DMS. The 16-partner firm, which was “looking for a technology partner who could advise on the most cost-efficient approach, as well as design and deliver a business solution in-line with its specific operational requirements”, selected Phoenix after a comprehensive review process.
The project itself will involve streamlining the information management process, with Phoenix replacing Sherrards’ existing paper-based files and its in-house email & document management system with iManage Cloud, which utilises iManage Work 10. Phoenix’s own work space management tool, Workspace Control, will also be used to facilitate the integration of the firm’s back office systems.
Leigh Ecclestone, operations and finance manager at Sherrards said: “We work between two offices at Sherrards and many of our lawyers are on the road. We needed to deliver efficiencies within the document management process as well as provide a cost-effective solution that was easily accessible across both locations, giving fee earners access to information and the ability to work on the go. The new solution means they will have all the information they need at their fingertips, whenever they need it.”
He added: “Phoenix Business Solutions was able to bridge the technological gap between our legacy system and the demand for a future-proof 21st Century technology solution. The seamless integration between iManage, Workspace Control and other business solutions such as Microsoft Outlook will provide us with automated matter file lifecycle management, with the added capability to create, edit and manage documents in the Cloud.”
The solution is currently in the early phases of implementation. The firm plans to pilot the software in September and roll out the full solution by October 2017.
