Delegates at this timely seminar will discuss the next steps for data protection at a time when the transition into EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is almost complete.
With the uncertainty regarding the UK’s future relationship with the EU and with EU GDPR coming into force in the UK and across Europe, delegates will also examine the implementation issues affecting public and private sector organisations of varying scales. They will also consider the way forward for effective international collaboration at a governmental, regulatory and industry level.
Delegates will discuss the potential impact on organisations looking to be in full compliance with EU GDPR and the possible implications of the forthcoming UK Data Protection Act (2018). Further areas for discussion include international issues such as cross-jurisdiction data storage; futureproofing policy for developments in technologies such as M2M and AI; commercial and service opportunities, and data use strategies being developed in anticipation of the new regulatory environment.
