Legal tech movers and shakers: Miles McGoun joins Intapp

Legal tech veteran Miles McGoun has joined Intapp’s client development practice as associate practice group lead, based in Los Angeles.
McGoun most recently served as senior vice president of professional services market intelligence provider Manzama and it can be expected that at Intapp, he will be working with Intapp Experience, which launched in 2017 and is designed to provide visibility into the work done across practice areas, making it easily searchable.
Before Manzama, McGoun was business development director of Objective Manager, but he is best known for his role as vice president of sales at Tikit, where he spent 14 years. McGoun was one of the first employees at Tikit and helped to introduce software products such as LexisNexis InterAction into the European law firm market.
At Intapp he joins Mark Bilson, vice president of the client development practice, who was the business manager and latterly regional manager for InterAction in APAC from 2009 to 2012.
“I am delighted to be working with Miles again. He is an accomplished professional who is well connected in the legal marketing community globally,” said Bilson. “Miles brings an in-depth appreciation of the challenges that professional services firms face today in developing new business and growing business with their existing clients.”
“This is an exciting time for legal marketing and business development, as firms start to innovate and invest more to support future growth, and I am thrilled to be joining Intapp,” said Miles McGoun. “Intapp Experience has started to have a significant impact on the way that firms are approaching client development, particularly as they start to realize the potential of taking advantage of a more unified approach to data throughout the client lifecycle.”
Intapp will be exhibiting at the Legal Marketing Assocation’s annual conference next week.
