Let’s talk about mental health: The MindCycle Tour

Rob Stephenson, the brother of our sales director Jeremy Stephenson, is a cyclist, a father, a husband, a son, a friend, a teammate, a coach, a chartered accountant and a successful entrepreneur.  He is also bipolar. In order to help end the stigma around mental ill-health in the workplace, he is raising money by riding the entire Tour de France route – on a smart trainer in offices across the UK. And he needs your help.
The MindCycle Tour will stimulate conversations about mental health in our workplaces and highlight the links between our mental and physical health.  Rob also wants to demonstrate that a very hard mental and physical challenge can overcome with support, and conversation.
He has set an ambitious fundraising target of £250,000 to support the excellent work of MQ Mental Health, which has a simple vision: to fund world-leading research that will lead to a world where mental illness is understood, effectively treated, and ultimately prevented.
While Rob has undertaken a number of long-distance rides he says: “This will be the toughest thing that I have ever attempted.”
We don’t find enough opportunities to talk about mental health in the workplace and this is an excellent opportunity to do so, so we encourage you to get involved. For more information see www.mindcycle.cc
