Legal tech departure: Chris White says au revoir to Clyde & Co

Clyde & Co’s global CIO Chris White has formally confirmed his departure from the global firm, after over five years at the helm. In a statement on LinkedIn today (13 July) he said:
“After over five years as Global CIO of one of the fastest growing law firms in the world it is now time for me to hand over the reins.
“During my time at Clyde & Co the firm has more than doubled in size to over 4000 staff working from over 50 offices around the world. I have assembled a very talented IT Team and together we have build a global IT capability to be proud of; as good as any in the legal world and better than most.
“It has been a real pleasure working with so many great people and I shall miss the team. I shall be moving onto new opportunities helping organisations get the most from their technology investments and understand how the innovative use of technology can help meet the many challenges facing businesses.
“I also plan to spend more time on a particular passion of mine, helping start-ups and disruptors to the industry bring their products to market.  If you need any help with the above please do let me know.”
White held a number of interim CIO or strategic advisor roles prior to joining Clyde & Co and between 2002-09 was CIO of Ashurst.
A prominent figure in the legal technology sector who is recognised for always taking a strategic view of technology, his achievements at Clyde & Co include the creation of a global innovation committee to drive change.
