Legal IT Newswire deals… HighQ wins deal with top Australasian insurance law firm

With more than 140 specialist insurance lawyers, Wotton + Kearney plans to use HighQ’s collaboration platform to securely exchange files with clients and manage portfolios of insurance claims. The firm chose HighQ with a view to improving data security, matter management and collaboration with clients.
“Wotton + Kearney continues to seek out market leading solutions to promote not only innovation, but also drive efficiency for our clients,” said David Kearney, Chief Executive Partner. “We strive to ensure our clients see real value for their money, and that starts with adopting smarter approaches to the way we do business. HighQ is a leading visionary in legal technology software, and we are delighted to be working with them to take advantage of the features that will benefit our client relationships.”
Founded in 2002, Wotton + Kearney has expanded to become one of the largest insurance law teams in Australasia, with offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth in Australia and Auckland and Wellington in New Zealand. In January 2017, W+K became a founding member of a new innovative legal services model called Legalign Global, an alliance with three of the world’s leading insurance law firms. Developed in response to increasing globalisation, Legalign Global facilitates a more effective legal services response to global insurers and to their customers participating in multinational insurance programs and works to a common Client Services Charter.
“Wotton + Kearney has a well-earned reputation for innovation, and HighQ continues to help drive change in the legal industry through technology,” said James Connor, HighQ vice president for sales in EMEA and APAC. “This is an exciting opportunity to work with such a well-respected firm in this region of the world, and we see this growing relationship as beneficial for all involved.”
