Legal Tech Move: New head of legal for Repstor

Repstor, the ECM software and matter management specialist, has appointed a new head of legal & professional services. Leigh Smith joined this summer from global law firm Eversheds Sutherland, which together with Repstor has developed Office 365/SharePoint matter management solution ES/Unity. At Repstor, Smith will spearhead ES /Unity engagements among corporate in-house legal teams.
During his time at Eversheds Sutherland Consulting, Smith led the development of ES /Unity working in close partnership with Repstor and delivered legal transformation projects for organisations across the globe.
As we exclusively revealed in April this year, energy giant National Grid is one of ES Unity’s first and largest clients. ES/Unity, which launched in March 2017, combines Eversheds Sutherland’s legal experience with Repstor’s case, document and email manager, called Repstor Custodian, which is built exclusively for the Office 365/SharePoint platform, offering native integration with Microsoft Office and incorporating reporting and analytics from Microsoft BI. Other ES Unity clients include Miral, Client Earth, Queen’s University Belfast and Wellcome Trust.
Commenting on Smith’s appointment, Alan McMillen, Repstor’s CEO, said: “Leigh is a fantastic, strategic appointment to our team, and reflects the accelerating success of ES /Unity.”
