A month after leaving Clyde & Co, former global CIO Chris White has resurfaced at HFW in the role of interim CIO, where he tells us his remit is “to put in place fit for purpose IT across the firm’s 20 global offices and also to create and drive an innovation initiative.”
According to the Legal IT Insider Top 200, HFW, which rebranded from Holman Fenwick Willan in 2017, is an existing client of leading systems such as Elite 3E, iManage Work and LexisNexis Interaction among others. A former Lexis Axxia client, HFW selected 3E in 2010, reversing an earlier surprise decision to go with SAP.
White takes over from former director of information technology Paul Thurston, who joined in 2014 from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. Thurston, who we have yet to speak to about his plans, has left the business.
White told us: “I’m really excited by the opportunity to help shape the future of HFW.”
