Neota Logic has relocated its head of marketing role to London and appointed Rebecca Tear (formerly Hawkes) from Apperio as global marketing manager in the latest senior hire for the growing New York-headquartered company.
Tear, who had been with Apperio a year after joining from iManage RAVN in October 2017, will be responsible for promoting all of Neota’s products across the UK, North America and the APAC region. She will help promote work that Neota is doing that has previously gone under the radar, including its education partnerships with a number of universities and charities.
Tear will report to Neota’s London-based managing director for Europe, Richard Seabrook, as well as Kim Massana, who joined in October as president and CEO and is based in New York.
She replaces Catherine Ostheimer, who was SVP of marketing based in Manhattan and left to join contract review provider Leverton.
Tear told Legal IT Insider: “The AI market is the most exciting space in the legal world with so many new companies. Neota Logic has a great brand – there is so much more they can do with it. They do a lot in the education sector and have an existing partnership with the university of Manchester as well as helping charities.
“The opportunity to work alongside such passionate people who see the true value that marketing can bring to an organisation to further the company’s goals is the perfect scenario.”
