DMH Stallard is the latest law firm to swap out its Lexis Axxia practice management system, we can reveal: it has selected Aderant Expert and Handshake as its legal PMS and knowledge management solutions respectively.
Now just inside the Top 100 UK law firms (last year it was just outside at 101), DMH, which has five locations in the UK, last year saw its annual revenue increase to £25m. The South East firm has grown through mergers: in 2017 it merged with Sussex firm Rawlinson Butler; in 2014 with Guildford firm AWB Partnership; in 2012 with Surrey firm Callaghans; and in 2008 with London commercial firm Courts & Co.
Not surprising, then, that the firm’s strategy is to simplify and standardise its IT estate to help manage the large number of suppliers, components and its complex web of integrations.
“Aderant demonstrated a strong understanding of our practice requirements and how these could be served from their extensive solutions portfolio,” said Richard Pollins, DMH Stallard’s managing partner. “DMH Stallard is making a significant investment in new systems to ensure that it not only provides excellent client service, but also continues to provide a working and IT environment that attracts the best talent to our offices in London, Brighton, Gatwick, Guildford and Horsham.” We are hoping to bring you a bit more background on the tech refresh shortly.
We already revealed earlier this month that DMH had selected Handshake, which is going through a bit of a purple patch as KM is again elevated in law firm strategic importance, with wins also including Wiggin; Sackers and US top 100 firm Blank Rome.
Axxia swap outs have gifted a raft of PMS providers over the past few years with the most recent being in January, when Russell Cooke selected SOS Connect.
