Hogan Lovells’ respected IP practice has selected Anaqua in a big private practice win for the intellectual asset management software provider. The top 10 global law firm, which was this year named Managing Intellectual Property’s “Global IP Firm of the Year,” for a second year running, has an IP practice of close to 400 dedicated professionals spanning the Americas, Europe, and Asia; and boasts a client base which includes over 50% of the world’s largest brand owners.
Anaqua will provide the trademark team at Hogan Lovells with a unified platform to drive process standardization and automation across their offices worldwide. The platform’s multi-language functionality will support the firm’s international operations and diverse client base.
Constanze Schulte, trademark partner at Hogan Lovells leading the transition to Anaqua, said: “Partnering with Anaqua makes a lot of sense for our global practice, which relies on close and efficient collaboration on a daily basis.”
Anaqua’s clients include many big name in-house teams such as Jaguar Land Rover and Imperial Tobacco but its private practice clients include respected Miami-headquartered firm Greenberg Traurig.
In February Anaqua announced that the business will receive a significant equity investment from Astorg, a leading European private equity firm. Astorg became the controlling shareholder of Anaqua, replacing Insight Venture Partners and Bessemer Venture Partners, both of which had been investors since 2013.
