UK top 200 law firm Howes Percival has selected Aderant Expert – according to our Top 200, the firm was previously a Thomson Reuters Elite Envision client.
According to a statement, Howes Percival sought a solution that “matched its size, values, and vision” and the firm “needed an adaptable platform in order to further their level of client service and help them reach their goals.” It adds: “Aderant’s innovative and sophisticated solution was the differentiator after a rigorous comparison across several practice areas.”
“Our main aim is to provide an excellent service for our clients, and we are constantly looking for new ways to improve their overall experience,” said Stuart Maggs, partner and Head of IT at Howes Percival. “We are confident that our partnership with Aderant will help us to do this and will provide the capacity and access to information we need to continue to grow.”

The win comes as vendors battle to win sunsetted TR Enterprise sites. Other recent Enterprise swapouts that have gone to Aderant include Brodies and leading Australian firm Lander & Rogers.
Enterprise won’t be supported after December 2022, but there are still an estimated 20 law firms in the UK top 200 and around four times that number in the US top 200 on the system. If you’re not already in the process of swapping out your PMS, given the sheer number of firms still making/left to make the switch, now is the time to start panicking.
