Comment on Why Wavelength sold to Simmons by Anon Commentator

This is a really curious acquisition.
On the one hand it kind of makes sense but on the other S&S aren’t generally seen in the market as a groundbreaking and innovative firm when compared to others.
When we pull back from the marketing hype it is one thing to work in partnership with a company who works closely with other firms but completely different where they are owned by another firm. That will most likely raise concerns with other firms in terms of engaging with Wavelength.Surely in any due diligence a prospective client firm will ask about ownership and therefore confidentiality?
If what Wavelength is offering is sufficiently compelling to firms in a very crowded market the strategic play would have been to remain ‘independent’ surely?
